A Message from Tan Sri Datuk Amar Leo Moggie Irok

On 27 March 2019 Tan Sri Datuk Amar Leo Moggie Irok, who was then the Chairman of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), penned a "Special Message" for the book "THE POWER of DEEDS: The Untold Story of Abdul Kadir Shamsuddin."

Among others he said: "Public respect for the Malaysian civil service owes much to the legacy of integrity and professionalism of those who served in the civil service in the past."

He added that Abdul Kadir Shamsuddin's "many achievements and personal role in the country's history deserved to be shared and recorded. It also represents the many in the civil service, whose names and faces may not be generally known, but whose collective roles and contributions have made this country what it is today."

"At Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Tan Sri Abdul Kadir occupies a special place in its history. He served as chairman of Lembaga Letrik Negara (LLN) from 19 March 1973 to 18 March 1977."

Tan Sri Leo Moggie highlighted LLN (now known as TNB) had played an important role as a catalyst in national development.

Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid's tribute to Tan Sri Abdul Kadir Shamsuddin

On 1 April 2019 Tun Ahmad Sarji bin Abdul Hamid, who was the Chief Secretary to the Government (1990 - 1996), penned a "Tribute" which was published in the book "THE POWER of DEEDS: The Untold Story of Abdul Kadir Shamsuddin."

Among others he said "I found that he had great powers of memory and comprehension, together with a formidable legal learning and administrative experience. He was bold and innovative."

He further added "I can say of him that it is given to a few to be a legend in their own lifetime. As this biography will testify, his strength lay ini his administrative genius, his laudable mission to bring changes to the public service and a doughty defender of the country's interests."
