On 3rd April 2019, the Rt. Hon. Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the Prime Minister of Malaysia penned a Forward for the book "THE POWER of DEEDS: The Untold Story of Abdul Kadir Shamsuddin."
Excerpts of the Forward are as follow:
"A dedicated civil servant until the end, Abdul Kadir was indeed one of Malaysia's illustrious sons. Taking over the administrative machinery of the government from the British required skill and strength of character."He added:
"Like others of his generation, Abdul Kadir set such a high standard in the civil service. He held strictly to the role of conduct of the service, that it must be loyal to the government of the day without being bound by its politics."Tun Mahathir further said:
"True to his vocation, Abdul Kadir remained in the shadows of Tun Razak. He was the dedicated administrator complementing the Prime Minister with integrity, honesty and passion for the nation and the rakyat."
